Shelby County Vector Control - Tennessee

Entomologist: This position reports to Manager of Vector Control, and plans, develops, organizes, and directs a comprehensive mosquito control program. The mosquito control program has 26 full-time positions and 25 temporary positions.

Supervisor B - Vector Control: This position works under direct supervision of the Manager of Vector Control to supervise Environmentalists responsible for complaint inspections, residential surveys, and property investigations.



Mosquito Control Manager - South Carolina

Beaufort County Mosquito Control is looking for a Mosquito Control Manager. The Manager administers the surveillance program, supervises at least 6 personnel, assists with the coordination of Departmental operations, assists with the financial activities (preparation of annual budget and payroll), conducts field and laboratory studies to measure operational efficacy, records data accurately, and ensures compliance with State/Federal pesticide regulations.



MFPM Branch Chief - Virginia

The Prince William County Department of Public Works, Environmental Services Division, Mosquito and Forest Pest Management Branch seeks a Branch Chief. The mission of the program is to survey, reduce and control populations when possible, of mosquitoes and forest pests. The Branch Chief directs twelve full time staff members, prepares and manages the budget, evaluates staff and makes Branch improvements. This position also includes making surveillance and control decisions to ensure proper Integrated Pest Management practices in the County. Thorough knowledge of Integrated Pest Management practices and pesticide application techniques, effective supervisory skills and experience preparing and maintaining budgets are required.



Environmental Health Supervisor- Virginia

The Norfolk Health Department is recruiting for an Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor to administer the District's Vector Control program, along with other city and state programs. Interprets and applies environmental laws, regulations, policies and procedures to determine compliance and reduce risks to the public's health in such areas as: mosquito surveillance and control, rodent abatement, bulk container permitting. Other areas of responsibility include rabies control, restaurant and food, hotels, marinas, campgrounds, summer camps, migrant labor camps, body art establishments, swimming pools, and investigations of general environmental complaints. Serves as a district leader in the Vector Control program and will perform administrative, programmatic, and performance management responsibilities for multiple staff in support of work unit goals and objectives. This position will also be cross-trained in food and other environmental health programs to supplement supervisory coverage and support in these other program areas. .
